With the Meteo advice module, you have comprehensive, Agro-meteorological weather advice available in your own AgroVision Crops programme. In one overview, you see current and forecast weather data such as soil temperature, relative humidity, leaf wet period and spraying conditions. Measured on your own plot or on location of your choice. Weather advice forms the basis for all advisory modules in AgroVision Crops. In addition, it helps you with crop registration, as weather conditions are automatically entered during a spray.

AgroVision Crops Meteo gives growers access to data from weather stations and weather forecasts. The programme provides comprehensive agronomic weather advice and it automatically records spray conditions in crop records for food safety certification purposes. What is new is that this module is now extended to include current disease pressure of 36 diseases in 14 crops. Disease models are used to calculate the current prevailing disease pressure based on weather data. This is displayed on a scale of 0-100. It also shows the development over the next 72 hours; will the disease pressure increase, remain the same or decrease. The most common crops are listed in the app, such as potatoes, onions, sugar beet, wheat and barley. But also outdoor vegetables such as cabbage, leeks, carrots and lettuce.
Added value for the user (in commercial terms, user-friendliness ...)
Meteo gives the grower access to the entire AgroVision Weather Network or you connect AgroVision Crops to your own weather station. At a glance, the user sees what the prevailing disease pressure is in a wide range of crops. The official KNMI and KMI weather stations are used for this, but if you have your own Sencrop, AgroExact or Pessl weather station you can also use this weather data. Disease pressure is then calculated using the data from your own location and this is even more accurate. As a grower, this gives you more insight into the disease pressure and allows you to make better choices. You spray only when necessary and save when you can.
Added value for the further sustainability and professionalization of the potato sector.
Information on disease development in the crop is of great importance when making crop protection decisions. By extending AgroVision Crops Meteo with up-to-date, local information on the disease pressure of a large number of crop diseases, the choice with regard to whether or not to spray can be even better substantiated. Better substantiation leads to better decisions. This is of great importance for the further sustainability of the sector and the professionalisation of arable farming as a whole.
